Weekly Workbasket- August 27/28
I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
Last week was a bit of a mess. My son and I both were fighting a bug at the beginning of the week and just dragging along, and then I had a headache for about 3 days at the end of the week. In fact I didn’t write this post yesterday because it was the first day I felt up to doing much and I figured it was better to be productive with actual products then productive by writing this post.
I really don’t have a lot to talk about though, I just didn’t have to let this habit die, and I wanted to assure everyone I’m alive, this blog is active, and I’m not going anywhere.
So last week I DID work on not one but TWO patterns I’m designing! One is knit, the other is Tunisian crochet. Here’s a sneak peek of the knit one! One already finished and the same pattern getting cast on again.
This lovely lady showed up in my garden! Possibly from the babies I had earlier this year (the kids counted over 50 in my minuscule garden in the spring!) She is a Carolina mantis, which comes in both this gray pattern and the traditional green. She is common in Maryland. We were quite glad to see her though, you don’t often see gray ones, even if they are considered common. She’s on a weed, an invasive one actually, but it was pulled out and only used to escort her from the sidewalk (with kids on bikes!) to the actual garden. You can see my vinca in the background too. I am pretty sure She is a She, but I could be totally wrong.
Other than that I did some errands, and spent a lot of time on the couch next to this fellow, who tends to sleep as though he is broken and has no idea what to do with his legs.
Today I went to the craft store for even more yarn (just what I needed haha) and have some new stuff to talk about later this week. What have you been up to? I’d love to hear!
