You guys, this is our last block!!!
This last video is super late and I apologize. I mentioned that I was going away, and I think I even mentioned that I was having trouble while I was away getting it uploaded and shared with you. That continued to be a problem, and my trip out of town was also extended. While I was visiting we first decided to stay just one extra day for fun. Then my Mom’s car was put in the shop and I decided to stay to help out. Then it takes a full day of travel (8 hours at least) to get back home and then to get settled back in. So I am finally able to sit down and get this all settled together for you.
In fact, since it is SO late, I’m going to post it now so you can see the video, and then come back in a day or so and update the post the include more photos and such. Updated November 24, 2017
Thanks for waiting and being patient! I know I haven’t posted much this month with my trip and all. I promise I have good stuff coming!
Here is one of my finished squares. A total cheater picture, the white on the side is actually where it’s already connected as I put my blanket together.
The yarn is the Nicole Studio Classic in Soft Blue. I’ve worked with this yarn brand quite a bit with this blanket and am pretty impressed with it. Softer than similarly priced acrylic yarns, and not one splice knot in any of the skeins I’ve used. It also is VERY easy to find the end so that you can work from the center.
I’ll be posting a video soon of how I opted to stitch my blanket together. I did not just “sew them” as the pattern states. I’ll also reveal my finished blanket soon. We did it, you guys!!! We learned nine new stitches, learned a new technique altogether, AND made an actual afghan! Pat yourself on the back.
Any problems with the video please let me know! For some reason, it is showing up blurry to me in some places, but I don’t know if that is just my connection or the actual video. If it is a real problem I will re-record the video for you.
