When I saw these sneakers as a Digi stamp from All Dressed Up I KNEW I HAD to have them. Anyone who knows me personally will know I pretty much live in sneakers like this. Well, really I pretty much live barefoot, but IF I have any shoes on, they’re shoes like this. I was able to pick these sneakers as a design team image and they were provided to me free to play with.
The Crafter’s Challenge Blog is located HERE, and you can see what other DT members have done with the image, as well as enter to win prizes with your own crafts!
You can get your own digital image of them HERE, for just $2.37.
I also used (and purchased myself, they were not provided) All Dressed Up’s Autumn Papers. Also a digital download and available HERE and HERE for $1.08 per set. All of the patterned papers used were from these two sets.
I decided to make a mini book and album. Each inside cover has 6 flaps that have decorated paper on the front and are plain white on the back for labeling, journaling, or adding photos and ephemera. On the inside spine, I glued an assortment of envelopes so you can add additional memorabilia, photos, ticket stubs, notes, etc. For the cover, I hand-colored an image of the sneakers using alcohol markers and then added scraps of paper for additional background. I stamped “Summer Days” in black ink with rubber alphabet stamps. I intentionally did the letters a bit askew and wonky.
Here’s a video with a bit of a project walkthrough and if you prefer pictures, they are down below the video.
I hope you enjoy this mini-album and that it inspires some projects of your own! I’d always love to hear from you in the comments below with questions or chatter. 🙂
