I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
I have fallen in love with Lion Brand Mandala yarn (and no, I’m not getting paid to say that, would be nice though!) The vibrant colors and the ease of use, not to mention the large amount of yardage in a cake and the very affordable price and I am hooked. It is the yarn I’m using for my Euphoria Cardi that I’ve mentioned a ton. I also made a shawl with it that I still need to give you the pattern for. (Hint: It’s the same as the Ann Shawl, the row count is just different with the smaller yarn, but you can totally do the Ann with it until I stop slacking and post the pattern.) I bought a few more colors and was seeking project ideas, especially things that could make Christmas gifts. I loved this puff stitch hat when I found the pattern on Ravelry.
Now- Absolute Honesty- I read the pattern, printed it, and then totally went from memory and made it up based on experience. So my finished hats may be different than a hat done the official way. Since I did get the idea and general increase method from this pattern it only seems fair to share it and give credit where credit is due.
This hat is SUPER easy, super quick, adorable, AND You can get two adult and a baby size with pom poms from a single skein of Mandala!
The color changes make two hats that kind of match but aren’t matchy matchy. I highly recommend the pattern and you have plenty of time to make some as gifts.
