I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
One thing that I say often, and hear friends say as well, is that they really wish they were better about sending birthday cards and such. Well, today’s challenge is to help with that exact problem! Now that you set up your file box for the year we’re going to prep for a whole year of birthdays and anniversaries right now!
If you’re on a tight budget, or just want to be crafty, spend this week making some cards and filing them away. A homemade card can be simple or elaborate but is always nice to receive. Even some basic paper folded and with a simple drawing or stickers is better than sending nothing. Say it with me, “Done is better than perfect.”
The reason I suggest putting a stamp but leaving it open is that you now have the option of adding a handwritten note, a gift card, etc. You can either add something when the time comes or just seal it up and send it on its way. The fact that’s it’s already stamped means it’s easy to mail and get it done! If you can’t afford to add stamps now that’s okay! One the beginning of the month when you start your file just make a note of how many stamps you need and add them to your shopping list.
If you haven’t set up your box it’s not too late! There is even a full tutorial video of how the system works. You can find it here! The file box is the main part of our challenge this month, but I have some other challenges coming up too, it’s not all file box related.
I would LOVE to hear your thoughts on this challenge and any of your organizational struggles. Comment below or use the contact me form.
