I’ve been busy for days prepping, cooking, and entertaining out of town guests, and the day is finally here! Thanksgiving!!! Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. I want to truly wish every one of you a Happy Thanksgiving.
To me Thanksgiving is food, family, friends, gratitude, a celebration of fall and the seasons, and yes, a little bit that it’s a good way to show off my cooking skills! I think of this blog in a very similar way. It’s about home: going home, being home, making a home, remembering a home. To me the crafts, recipes, and even ads in Workbasket are a good embodiment of that. When people tell me they’ve made that craft for their daughter, or when people say “My Grandmother had that *ad item*!!” It makes me truly happy.
So today between cooking, eating, parade watching, and everything else, please take a moment to just truly be thankful of all that Thanksgiving is and can represent. I’m truly thankful for every reader, and even every non-reader, and for every door this blog has ever and may ever open. Having this to do and focus on has been a great thing for me, and I thank every one of you who read my rambles, and I especially am thankful for the ones you actually enjoy it! Lol
I’m not having a very Workbasket Thanksgiving this year, but I’d love to hear if any readers are doing anything from the magazine, or any traditions you have. Just tell me about them in the comments below.
